CSC holds an annual nationwide Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees in the bureaucracy under its Honor Awards Program (HAP). The Program serves as the bureaucracy’s employee incentives and awards system.

The Dangal ng Bayan Award is one of the three award categories under HAP. It is conferred to any government official or employee who has exemplified the eight norms of conduct of public servants as mandated by Republic Act No. 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. These are commitment to public interest, professionalism, justness and sincerity, political neutrality, responsiveness to the public, nationalism and patriotism, commitment to democracy, and simple living. While the other two award categories, namely, the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award and the CSC Pagasa Award, are conferred to government workers recognized for their outstanding work performance.

Dangal ng Bayan Awardees will receive a cash prize of PHP200,000 and a trophy designed by National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Abueva. They are also entitled to incentives such as bonuses, citations, directorships in government-owned or controlled corporations, local and foreign scholarship grants, paid vacations, and automatic promotion to the next higher position with commensurate salary suitable to their qualifications. q

  1. I am strongly supporting LGOO VI Jimmicio Daoaten of the DILG Provincial Office of Abra as a finalist for the Dangal ng Bayan Award. As a former Regional Director of DILG Cordillera Administrative Region, I took special notice of how Jimmicio performed his job as an outstanding field operations officer. He is recognized and respected by the local government officials he serves so well, he excels in collaborating and coordinating with other agencies in planning and implementing inter-agency programs, projects, and activities to promote local governance. He respects lines of authority and he submits all required reports on time. His human relations skills in dealing with clients, peers and superiors are highly commendable.

  2. Abia, Joey G.

we are so proud that JOEY ABIA, was one of semi-finalists of the Dangal ng Bayan Award. He deserves to be the ONE!, He once served as Jail guard of Calbayog City samar penology, and that we really salute how he deals among the prisoners, he educates and introduced the inmates to be God fearing person, if we visit the jail, we see how inmates are changed, they are more motivated person, they see the life as if they were living outside bars,. because they have hope that life isn’t that amazing for them to be good person, and that the JOEY ABIA have changed their lives…
this man is not only a good person to his work as jail officer, but to those people around him..he is truly amazing person..and we salute his goodness and dedication to his work and outside his workplace!…go! go kuya joey! God bless you!
